Who We Are

It's our desire for every child to experience unconditional love, hope and safety.

Our Mission

At For the Children Wilsonville, we believe that every child deserves a safe and loving home. Unfortunately, many children in our community have experienced neglect, abuse, and abandonment. We are dedicated to providing them with the tools and resources they need to heal and thrive. Our intervention programs, education, and advocacy work together to create a comprehensive approach to supporting children and families in need. We believe that by working together, we can create a brighter future for all children.

Diversity Statement

At Wilsonville Royal Family KIDS Camp, we wholeheartedly embrace and celebrate diversity, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences that each camper brings to our community. Children are welcome and included in our camp program regardless of disability, religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We strive to create a safe and supportive space where every camper feels valued, accepted, and empowered. Our camp programming is designed to be culturally sensitive, fostering an environment that encourages open dialogue, understanding, and appreciation for differences. We believe that by embracing diversity, we enrich the camp experience for all participants, cultivating an atmosphere of compassion, resilience, and unity. Our dedicated staff is trained to provide individualized support, ensuring that every child, regardless of their past experiences, can thrive and create lasting memories in a nurturing and inclusive environment.

Same Heart, Big Impact

We are taking a stand For the Children.

We stand on the front lines of child abuse, abandonment and neglect. We believe all children are deserving of a family, safety, rights and a future.

For the Children oversees Royal Family KIDS Camps, which provides a weeklong, overnight summer camp specifically for children involved with the child welfare system.

For 30+ years, volunteers, churches, businesses, local municipal partners and Royal Family KIDS staff have dedicated their time, talent and treasures to help transform the lives of vulnerable children across the US and world. With over 250 Royal Family KIDS camps and mentoring programs around the world, the breadth of our work has naturally evolved to include direct trauma intervention, advocacy, fostering, adoption, support to parents, and other crucial wraparound services.

Our focus continues to be on building a world free of family-induced childhood trauma by promoting physical, emotional and spiritual healing for child victims of neglect, abuse, and abandonment through intervention programs, education and advocacy.

As we focus on the systemic issues facing children around the globe, we remain motivated by the teaching and example of Jesus in caring for “the least of these”.
