Our Vision
It's our vision that every child would experience unconditional love, hope, safety, and belonging.
Our Mission
Our mission is to create life changing moments for children in foster care. Through our five day overnight summer camp, kids who have experienced relational trauma can simply be kids, learn to develop healthy relationships, build trust, and begin healing.
About Camp
Royal Family KIDS Camp fosters resiliency, self-esteem, hope and positive memories. The camp curriculum and activities are woven through the modality of Trust-Based Relational Intervention to ensure our children are experiencing truly life giving activities throughout the 5-day experience.
Who We Serve

Our Wilsonville camp has been serving kids in the Portland Metro area since 2006. Each summer we bless up to 36 campers and are staffed completely by volunteers who give a week of their summer to invest in the lives of these children. This camp is provided at no cost to the child, the foster care family or the State and is purely funded through private donations and grants.

We serve kids ages 7-11 who are currently in the foster care system or have previously been part of the foster care system. We serve kids in the Northern Willamette Valley and our sponsoring church, Community of Hope, is located in Wilsonville, OR.
We provide a five day overnight summer camp staffed by safe and caring adults to provide a week of fun and positive memories for the kids attending camp. For one week, instead of being in survival mode, kids will have the opportunity to just be kids and to participate in activities such as fishing, swimming, zip-line, crafts, horseback riding, everybody's birthday party etc.

For the Children
Same Heart, Big Impact
We are taking a stand For the Children.

We stand on the front lines of child abuse, abandonment and neglect. We believe all children are deserving of a family, safety, rights and a future.

For the Children oversees Royal Family KIDS Camps, which provides a weeklong, overnight summer camp specifically for children involved with the child welfare system.

For 40 years, volunteers, churches, businesses, local municipal partners and Royal Family KIDS staff have dedicated their time, talent and treasures to help transform the lives of vulnerable children across the US and world. With over 250 Royal Family KIDS camps and mentoring programs around the world, the breadth of our work has naturally evolved to include direct trauma intervention, advocacy, fostering, adoption, support to parents, and other crucial wraparound services.

Our focus continues to be on building a world free of family-induced childhood trauma by promoting physical, emotional and spiritual healing for child victims of neglect, abuse, and abandonment through intervention programs, education and advocacy.

As we focus on the systemic issues facing children around the globe, we remain motivated by the teaching and example of Jesus in caring for “the least of these”.
Diversity Statement:
At Wilsonville Royal Family KIDS Camp, we wholeheartedly embrace and celebrate diversity, recognizing the unique backgrounds and experiences that each camper brings to our community. Children are welcome and included in our camp program regardless of disability, religious affiliation, race, ethnicity, gender identity, or sexual orientation. We strive to create a safe and supportive space where every camper feels valued, accepted, and empowered. Our camp programming is designed to be culturally sensitive, fostering an environment that encourages open dialogue, understanding, and appreciation for differences. We believe that by embracing diversity, we enrich the camp experience for all participants, cultivating an atmosphere of compassion, resilience, and unity. Our dedicated staff is trained to provide individualized support, ensuring that every child, regardless of their past experiences, can thrive and create lasting memories in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
